the -4.7 and the 4.7 you add on cancels, and the 4.7 you add to the Left hand side adds to the -0.9

OpenStudy (anonymous):
@BPDlkeme234 do you know the answer???
OpenStudy (anonymous):
well he lost 1.8 in the first week, gained 0.9 in the second week, lost 1.4 in the third week and gained 0.4 in the fourth week.
so: (-1.8)+ (-0.9)+(-1.4) +(+0.4) = (-1.8) +(-1.4)+ (+0.9)+ (+0.4)= ((-3.2) +(+1.3)
so overall he lost 3.2 and gained 1.3 = 1.3 - 3.2 = -1.9
i.e total loss of 1.9
OpenStudy (anonymous):
–1.8 +0.9 –1.4 +0.4 =? just evaluate this and you'll get it
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i would get -1.9

OpenStudy (anonymous):
correct answer = B
OpenStudy (anonymous):
