OpenStudy (igreen):

Gymnosperms and Pteridophytes are both vascular plants, correct? And Gymnosperms produce seeds but Pteridophytes do not, correct?

OpenStudy (igreen):

@Abhisar

OpenStudy (abhisar):

@iGreen

OpenStudy (igreen):

?

OpenStudy (igreen):

I'm pretty positive that's correct.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

okay, so actually yes, Pteridophytes are \(\bf Vascular~Plants\) i.e xylem and phloem are present in them. They are not seed bearers. Seed bearing plants are called as \(\bf Spermatophyta\). Now there are two kinds in thios class, `Angiosperms and Gymnosperms` Gymnosperms are naked seeded plants i.e no fruit formation takes place in them while angiosperms bear seeds as well as produce fruits.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

and not to forget that both angio and gymno have vessels too.

OpenStudy (igreen):

Wait..so do Pteridophytes bear seeds?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Nerps.....

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Wait, let me draw a flow chart...

OpenStudy (igreen):

Okay, thanks.

OpenStudy (igreen):

:O Thanks a bunch

OpenStudy (abhisar):

oops, sorry...it came out a lill messy !

OpenStudy (igreen):

It's fine I can still read it.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Yep, ask me anything which you don't find clear...I'll brb

OpenStudy (abhisar):

And the flow chart is in evolutionary order. Which means if pteridophytes have vessels each group after it will have vessels.
