There should be a political/politics/law section on openstudy since there are so many questions and thoughts and opinions on some political issues. I think by adding the section that it would lessen the bazar post on other sections in which people want to study off of. Do you think this is a good idea? Please let me know you input.
@Abhisar @TheSmartOne @e.mccormick
I was thinking of having a law section.
^ @ParthKohli wanted that too
Precisely what im thinking.
That's what everyone wants, I'm positive!
Mostly.
I think this should be implemented, even though it's too late for me xD I had politics course last year and I don't know where to post my questions. They said post it to history section but they are totally different!
hi
Hey, @kamarigood1234 , Welcome to OpenStudy! You did post this on a random question, and that's fine. We have chatboxes down bottom and a private message system you can use to talk with other users (like me). :) @Post, Yes, a law group/politics group would be interesting. We already have an economic group and a religious group, which branches out from politics, but not a dedicated group for this particular field. Would be nice to see implemented.
ok thank you
Here is where the chatboxes are located - http://goo.gl/SfCpgj - and you can add more chatboxes by adding more subjects, like this - http://goo.gl/kBfwgp -. The most popular chats are English and Math, and there you go! Anyways, I think that a law/politics section would be wonderful as well. I do see questions law/politic-related often, so this would be a good plus
yes I think this would be a great asset to openstudy for study wise and for discussion wise.
"Law is one of the Social Sciences. There is a Social Sciences group. Note the plural. Frm a technical standpoint, that is actually a very vroad set of topics: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_social_sciences " ~ @e.mccormick
"Law is law. We have Bachelor of Laws, which is not the same as Bachelor of Social Sciences. We have Faculty of Law, which is NOT under Faculty of Social Sciences. To my understanding, law vary from place to place, which depends on where you study it and which system you are studying. This is different from other subjects in the sense that you have some "universal theories" to study. Regardless of where you are studying it, it is the same. Besides, when you talk about something serious like laws, case studies, it would be better for you to discuss with your fellow classmates. If you still have questions, it would also be better to ask your professors and tutors at your university as they are more professional. It would be more effective than asking online." ~ @Callisto
"Another dead subject is not needed... without a better way to get people to see a range of topics, it is just going to burry it. =(" ~ @e.mccormick
Well anyhoo here is the post where I'm quoting everybody :) http://openstudy.com/users/parthkohli#/updates/548f2869e4b04ed7d6b59d29
he is a mod I can not ban him
i agree why is there no law section or subject
All the mods disagreed: http://openstudy.com/users/parthkohli#/updates/548f2869e4b04ed7d6b59d29 But I agree!!
yes but social studies is a very broad subject just like mathematics. there are mathematics and algebra and such sections like that in which narrow down subjects for people. why cant they narrow down social studies like they did math?
It would be nice of they did more sub topics to help clarify and just a select few broad top topics to make things easier to track.
agreed
I'm going to override @e.mccormick with my seniority on OpenStudy and say that a general Law topic would be nice. Something that clumps together both politics and Law.
:) That is the way to do it Comp!
