OpenStudy (kj4uts):

Choose the function whose graph is given by (attached below): I don't think it is B. or D.? Please explain answer. Thank you!

OpenStudy (kj4uts):

OpenStudy (some.random.cool.kid):

your right its not b nor d but i wont tell you if its a or c but i can guide you.

OpenStudy (kj4uts):

ok thank you

OpenStudy (some.random.cool.kid):

ok so look at your graph again and tell me where your y lands on with that top hill.

OpenStudy (kj4uts):

4

OpenStudy (some.random.cool.kid):

ok great thats part one so you now know y = 4cos automatically.

OpenStudy (some.random.cool.kid):

now at the right eend of the chart where does that line end and tell me what you notice beside it.

OpenStudy (kj4uts):

it doesn't go through 2 pi but 2 pi is where the graph ends

OpenStudy (some.random.cool.kid):

yep, thats correct and since its 2pi next to eachother that means multiply but you must do the reverse which means you have to divide, think you got it yet. :} if not just tell me.

OpenStudy (kj4uts):

wouldent that be a. with the fraction bar?

OpenStudy (some.random.cool.kid):

exactly :} great job.

OpenStudy (kj4uts):

just curious how come the first link which would be a. doesent have the pi symbol but the second one does?

OpenStudy (some.random.cool.kid):

yeah those are great sites to use too by any chance are these flvs questions?

OpenStudy (some.random.cool.kid):

well ok ill explain that

OpenStudy (kj4uts):

flvs?

OpenStudy (kj4uts):

is that a virtual school?

OpenStudy (some.random.cool.kid):

yes, and actually what exactly do you mean byhow come the first link which would be a. doesent have the pi symbol but the second one does?

OpenStudy (kj4uts):

No I do a virtual school in Georgia used to live in Florida? Do you do virtual classes? For the links you will see the first graph (plot) and on the x-axis one have pi symbols and the other doesn't?

OpenStudy (kj4uts):

like on the first link (a.) the x-axis is spaced out by 2 4.... the second like has pi/2 then pi?

OpenStudy (some.random.cool.kid):

well on the x axis i see pi symbols but not on the y

OpenStudy (kj4uts):

oh ok I just was confused by that.

OpenStudy (kj4uts):

So basically the answer is A. y=4cos(pi/2x). Thank you very much for you help and time. Are you in Florida and do you do virtual school?

OpenStudy (some.random.cool.kid):

yes and yes

OpenStudy (kj4uts):

nice what grade If you don't mind me asking

OpenStudy (some.random.cool.kid):

and your welcome and i gtg its late and im in ninth technically 10th long story dont really have time for deatails. :} pass your class and have fun!

OpenStudy (kj4uts):

its nice having sites like this especially since we don't have teachers with us ok catch you later I became a fan! Have a great night!
