OpenStudy (redheadangel):
so sorry if i confused you at first, the CORRECT answer is 21
OpenStudy (lyrae):
You also have to multiply the right hand side of the equal sign.
\[\frac{ n }{ 3 } - 3 = 12\]\[\frac{ n }{ 3 } - 3 + 3 = 12 + 3\]
\[\frac{ n }{ 3 } = 15\]\[ 3 \times\frac{ n }{ 3 } = 3 \times 15\]\[ n = 45\]
OpenStudy (redheadangel):
OMG you're right, i should have written out the work before i said anything :[
