I got y=-1/5x+4
OpenStudy (eric_d):
y=mX+c
OpenStudy (eric_d):
m=gradient/slope
c=y-intercept
OpenStudy (vshiroky):
Ok.. then I am comfused.

You got it rite so far..
OpenStudy (eric_d):
Step 1: Put the equation in Slope Intercept Form. ...
Step 2: Graph the y-intercept point (the number in the b position) on the y-axis. ...
Step 3: From the point plotted on the y-axis, use the slope to find your second point. ...
Step 4: Draw your line using the two points you plotted (y-intercept (b) first, slope (m) second.
OpenStudy (vshiroky):
Ok, but how do I figure out what points to graph?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
very easy, you have x + 5y =20, right?
just let x =0, then y = 4 (mark this point)
let y =0, then x =20 ( mark this point, also)
link those points, done.
