medal to any one who helps and fan

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A system of equations is shown below: -3x + 7y = -16 -9x + 5y = 16 Part A: Create an equivalent system of equations by replacing one equation with the sum of that equation and a multiple of the other. Show the steps to do this. (6 points) Part B: Show that the equivalent system has the same solution as the original system of equations. (4 points)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am totally lost please help medal and fan

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@xapproachesinfinity please help will medal and fan

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i am here with what you need the help with

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you the queastion is above I dont understand it at all

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@kamarigood123 sorry I had to get another look at the question please help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok with what

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A system of equations is shown below: -3x + 7y = -16 -9x + 5y = 16 Part A: Create an equivalent system of equations by replacing one equation with the sum of that equation and a multiple of the other. OpenStudy (anonymous):

part b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont know what it is asking

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you help with part a I dont think ill need any more help that is where I am stuck

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Part A means to isolate one variable (x or y) by solving the equation. Then using (x= oe y=) plug whatever you get into the other equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is saying how is it the same

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know the substitution method?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no I dont

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and @kamarigood123 I dont know what is supposed to be the same

OpenStudy (anonymous):

basically, try to solve for x by moving everything besides x to the right. so you get x= (##)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

chooose one of the equations and solve for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes but which equation should I do

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can pick which ever, either one will solve the problem.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so im doing the top and I got x=-16 -7y+3 is that right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good for you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so thats right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok then what do I do

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so put in and where done ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and this is Part A right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank you your not mad r u

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no why would i be

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its the way Im reading your messages

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I feel like ur rushing me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok bye see you it was nice helping you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u 2 actually wait

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i am here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I still need help deciding if for Part B I have to do the second equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes you do now bye and do not bother me again ok!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry r u sure ur not mad

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok you are being reported mister

OpenStudy (anonymous):

bye

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i report you mister
