Which pronoun agrees with the antecedent in the sentence? Could one of the boys bring __________ keys? A.their <---- i think its A cause it makes sense but im not sure B.theirs C.his or her D.his please help? will fan and medal
I think it would be A too. If you said could one of the boys bring his keys, it would work too, but it sounds a bit strange and B and C don't work because one is plural and one is saying her, when its all boys
What if it was \(\normalsize\color{royalblue}{ \rm Could~the~boy~bring~\text{___} the~keys }\). Then would you be able to tell me?
it would be his @SolomonZelman
Yes.
here it is essentially the same thing. \(\normalsize\color{royalblue}{ \rm "\underline{one}~of~the~the~boys" }\) is singular, not plural
I mean it is 1 person, not many
Also, you aren't asking in this sentences for all the boys to bring the keys, you are asking for one boy (out of these boys) to bring it.
So what is your answer?
D
yes, it is \(\normalsize\color{royalblue}{ \rm \underline{his} }\)
If anything doesn't make sense to you, please ask.
theres one more im stuck on if you dont mind helping me
Sure

Can you choose one, and tell me one answer choice you think is correct? (Hint: One player wore sunglasses, or more than one player wore sunglasses? )
