hartnn (hartnn):

we can factor out 's' from both the terms! \(\huge 4s-15s = (4-15)s = .. \)

hartnn (hartnn):

so whats 4-15 ?

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

4 - 15 = ? -11s i believe.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you owe somebody -15 dollars and you give them $4 of it, how much do you still owe them?

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Yes all that is needed for you to do is subtract 4 - 15 then add on your S Anyways, that is a shortcut. Here is how you actually do it You would have to combine your like terms, 4s and -15s, and to combine you must add them together, 4s + (-15s) When adding, subtracting, dividing, or multiplying like terms, just work with the numbers, then add on the variable, so we have 4 + (-15) which is -11, now add on your variable s to get -11s
