Roman influence through Latin is reflected in modern English words dealing with these areas: law commerce math government military religion science
wrong question, sorry...
lol ok
Okay, for this question, I think \(\normalsize\color{royalblue}{ \rm law }\) \(\normalsize\color{royalblue}{ \rm commerce }\) \(\normalsize\color{royalblue}{ \rm religion }\)
it might as well also be: military and government
I am pretty sure about the first 3.
thanks can u help me with a few more?
The Greek influence occurs mainly in words about law history physical science math religion government
Well, the law is by many (incl. me) is believed to have come from the old testament (referred by some, as "Torah") Physical science, definitely, as any science discipline. (you will see "home sapiens" "bio" "ology" and so many other Latin words, science is full of them) Math? to some extent. I would include it too. "beta" "theta" as long as other Latin terms and letters. History? Well, even if has Latin, they are translated into English always, and Latin is not really seen much in it. Religion? Not in Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, and Buddhism. AND NOT in other religions, besides Christianity (which is nearly entirely Latin)..... but they can mean just Christianity alone by this... I am not sure about this one. government? no all laws and other things are in English.
For the Law, I do not think that Latin language has much INFLUENCE on the law.
Yes, and even Christianity, every thing is in English, in most branches of Christianity.
