Does anybody know a good free online homeschool program that gives textbooks?

OpenStudy (twizttiez):

That depends on where you live

OpenStudy (twizttiez):

Florida K12 is decent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Does florida k12 give texbooks

OpenStudy (twizttiez):

Yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are they free

OpenStudy (twizttiez):

Yeah 100%

OpenStudy (vishweshshrimali5):

Well you can also check OpenStax

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

There are some great online textbooks that you can get for free. Just google something like 'free online textbook {subject}'

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do you get the textbooks when you enroll into k12

OpenStudy (twizttiez):

Just enroll give you address and what grade the student you're enrolling is in

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Does it have to be a specific k12 program to get the free textbooks

OpenStudy (twizttiez):

I think so are you a mom? I was in ACE academy previously and i think the enrolment was like 1000$ thats not that bad

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok . Do you know what specific program I have to be in to get everything free

OpenStudy (twizttiez):

I hope i helped

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thx

OpenStudy (laurenmyers1098):

I don't think k12 is free..? I'm in the k12 international school and it's not free at all. I have textbooks for my courses, and to get them I had to enroll in each course. The courses are over $100 each I think..

OpenStudy (twizttiez):

Oh it says free lol

OpenStudy (laurenmyers1098):

You pay for to be enrolled in the course and you pay for the materials (textbooks, lab stuff, etc) to be sent to you. And the tuition fee too. I'm pretty sure there's no such thing as free homeschool + free supplies sent to you.

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

k12 is not really homeschool(where your parents teach you) is virtual school meaning that you still have classes and teachers etc but at home and you have the advantage of waking up and making the work at your own pace but you still have a deadline to meet just like regular school :)

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

and it is free as long as you enroll on a public school/academy inside k12 it depends on where you live

OpenStudy (laurenmyers1098):

@Daniellelovee Eh true, yeah, but I (and many others who are in k12) still consider it homeschool regardless of whether your parents teach you or not. It's at home and it's school hence homeschool, even though technically it's actually cyber/online school. And about the fees and whatnot, yeah it just depends on what k12 school you enroll in. In my case there are no schools for me to enroll through so I (aka my parents) pay for it all. In other cases, it's different. Just depends on how ya enroll :)

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

yeah true but I just thought that I should point that out because there is big difference when your parents teach you and when you learn like a regular students just from home (everyone think is the same but is not lol) and about the fees I just thought I shared that information because we dont know where the asker is from so we don't really know if she has public virtual academies or school in her town/state :)
