Design your own scientific experiment. Your experiment must follow the scientific method and meet the criteria described in the lesson in order to be considered scientific. You do not have to conduct your experiment; however, you are still responsible for including all the steps of the scientific method. Since you will not be able to record data or draw a conclusion, for the last two steps please include a description of what each step involves.

Question: Hypothesis: Materials: Step by Step Procedure: What measurements or other method of data collection would you use? How could you form a statement about your hypothesis based on the data?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Question: Can you cook eggs on a sidewalk with the right amount of sun Hypothesis: Eggs can cook on a sidewalk, with a lot of sun Materials: A side walk, eggs, the sun, (and maybe a solar oven, if you don't get a lot of sun) Step by Step Procedure: 1. you put a egg on a sidewalk 2. you watch the egg to see if it will cook. 3. it cooks (it may not cook, depending on the amount of sun you have) What measurements or other method of data collection would you use?: I guess you would see how much time it took, how it cooked, and if you think your side walk is clean, how it tastes, to a stove-top egg.

How could you form a statement about your hypothesis based on the data? @k12andstudyislandhelp

OpenStudy (bia_gonzalex):

and thanks soooo much for the help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um.... i think.... (you could change or fix this if you want too) My hypothesis was correct. When i experimented i found out that if you put a egg on the side walk it would cook when the sun is at it's highest at noon. Oh! and just a question, are you in k12. Because i have to do a assignment with the scientific method, and i wanted to do this. So i just wanted to know.
