Help Me Pleeaase! How do I solve this inequality? -2(6 + s) *greater than or equal to* -15 - 2s

OpenStudy (jackthegreatest):

no solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[-2(6+s)\ge-15-2s\] Is this the problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (jackthegreatest):

acutally there should be infinite solutions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How'd you solve that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If I were have to write it out and explain the answer, how do I prove that there's infinite or no solution?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

distribute -2 into (6+s)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you get -12-2s >= -15-2s

OpenStudy (anonymous):

add 12 to both sides and get -2s>=-3-2s the reason it is infinite is because the -2s cancle out and there is no answer... there is an equal number of variables on each side

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont know how to explain it further

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks ! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you guys still need help here or are u good to go

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got it, Thanks though :)
