OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

Match the boundary with its characteristic 1. Convergent 2. Divergent 3. Transform A. Along strike-slip faults B. Along ocean ridges C. Compression

OpenStudy (abhisar):

What do you think it should be?

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

I got 1. C 2. B 3. A

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Yes that's \(\huge \checkmark\)

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

Ok thanks!!!

Wikipedia says, A convergent boundary, also known as a destructive plate boundary (because of subduction), is an actively deforming region where two (or more) tectonic plates or fragments of the lithosphere move toward one another and collide. Since, they move towards each other they will definitely involve compression and give rise to structures like mountains etc... Wiki again says, A divergent boundary or divergent plate boundary (also known as a constructive boundary or an extensional boundary) is a linear feature that exists between two tectonic plates that are moving away from each other. Divergent boundaries within continents initially produce rifts which eventually become rift valleys. Most active divergent plate boundaries occur between `oceanic plates and exist as mid-oceanic ridges.`
