A neutral atom can be negatively charged by transferring an electron to another atom. transferring a neutron to another atom. receiving a neutron from another atom. receiving an electron from another atom.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

@redred154 What do you think it should be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Neutrons are neutral so we can eliminate those two answers.Since electrons have a negative charge, gaining an electron would cause the overall charge of the neutral atom to become negative while transferring one would cause an overall positive charge.
