That will give you an upper sum. Now draw 4 rectangles with equal base starting from the left endpoint and find the sum of the areas of those rectangles. That will give you a lower sum. Then find the average of those sums. That do (upper sum+lower sum)/2 . Then since you understand the trapezoid rule use it to estimate the integrate of x^2 from x=0 to x=2.
