Which expressions would complete this equation so that it has one solution? 4(2x – 3) – 4x = Choose exactly two answers that are correct. A. 4x – 12 B. 3x – 4 C. 3(2x – 6) D. 4(x – 5) I know A is correct but I cannot seem to find the second correct answer.

Nnesha (nnesha):

look at ur answer choices are you 100% sure you posted that correctly ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes.

Nnesha (nnesha):

3(2x – 6) ^ isn't that 2 ??

Nnesha (nnesha):

instead of 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, that's what that answer is. 3(2x – 6).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Perhaps it was a typo on their part though?

Nnesha (nnesha):

if you solve that equation you got |dw:1421037793342:dw|

Nnesha (nnesha):

if you take out 2 then it should be 2(2x- 6)

Nnesha (nnesha):

there is 4 common then it should be 4(x-3)

Nnesha (nnesha):

4(x – 5) if you solve answer choices D you get 4x -20 and that is not ur answer

Nnesha (nnesha):

there is a typo somewhere can you take screenshot and post it here ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

http://prntscr.com/5rgfe5 That's a direct link to the screenshot.

Nnesha (nnesha):

ohhh u have to choose right side so when you solve full equation you should get one solution

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

It is not A....that would make it be the same equation giving you infinite solutions

Nnesha (nnesha):

when you have |dw:1421038426162:dw| when you solve this how many solution you get they need one solution
