Which was a result of the European Crusades? A. the decline and fall of the Abbasid caliphate B. the assimilation of European culture in the Arab world C. the decrease in trade between Muslims and Christians D. the increase in trade between Europe and the East
@DanteFemboy can you help me here also?
Either B or C. Nor sure about this one.
okay thanks :)
@PRAETORIAN.10 @pooja195 can you guys take a look at this?
well which one do you think it may be?
im not really sure :/
well what were the crusades? do you know?
OMG OMG LET ME ANSWER THIS
I LOVE THE CRUSADES
lol okay
basically the crusades was Christandom's way of purging the holy lads from the infidels
it was pronounced that Deus Vult (God wills it) and thousands of knights traveled to win honour and forgiveness
the Popes declared that any who join will be absolved of their sins
Talking about Deus Vult. I'm doing something like that in English. Lol
the irrita (infidels) were practicing heathen things and this angered the college of cardinals
so honestly, all the answers are kind of correct it depends on what stage we're talking about
at the beginning of rivalries? half-way through? at its culmination?
we shall hence assume we are being general and discussing the overall effect of the crusades thereof
im not sure i guess in the end maybe
as i said
:)
by the end of the crusades the East had been oped up to whole new cultures from across the Mediterranean
so B?
depends on the definition of assimilation. such seems too forceful a term in this scenario
they did, and still remain, to retain an extreme disparity with other cultures - at least religiously
the east had many valuable trade goods and the ports of Acre (for example) had supreme access to the sea
by the conclusion of the crusades, thousands had died, rivalries still existed, (a while later) trade had flourished (an oxymoron i know) and the West and East became a lot more familiar
