WILL FAN AND MEDAL Alex had $234 in his bank account. For an entire month, Alex adds $2.10/day to the account. He graphs the money he saves versus time. He plots money saved along the vertical axis, and he plots time in days along the horizontal axis. What is the y-intercept of the line?

OpenStudy (zale101):

Have you tried graphing as instructed in your question? :)

OpenStudy (zale101):

y=mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y intercept.

OpenStudy (zale101):

the y-intercept is a point located at the y-vertical axis

OpenStudy (zale101):

the y vertical axis represent how many money was saved, so how many money was saved from the beginning. Keep in mind, i didn't draw the left side of the graph (negative x-values) because that's all negative, and we are not dealing with how many money lost, but how many money ws gained. Also, neglect the bottom line of the y axis, that indicates negative y values.
