The coast of California on the western side of the state has a moist climate, while the eastern side is a desert. What could cause this difference
any help?
People who travel in the American Southwest or on the western side of any other continent near 30° latitude will see dramatic changes within distances of only a few miles. The vegetation of the Mediterranean coast of Europe looks remarkably similar to the chaparral of Southern California, though no two plant species occur in both places (except some introduced weeds). Both the diversity and the similarities have the same underlying causes, namely the interactions between geography and the global climate machine which governs the biosphere on both grand and microscopic scales.
ugh those squares are supposed to be a degrees symbol
so what is the answer?
basically the different biomes have different climates
A. Cool winds cannot blow across a large lake into the desert. B. Mountains prevent moist air from blowing over into the desert. C. The west side is closer to the equator than the east. D. California has experienced a drastic climate change in the past few years.
My guess would probably be B
Pretty sure it would be B Makes sense
ok what about you aaliyahfairgood?

i think B.
