what dont u get here ? I'll try my best to explain @ziqbal103

OpenStudy (rane):

Step 1: 5 times a number = 5x step 2: a number which is 3 more than h = this means the 5 times 3 more then h step 3 : 3 more then h = h+3 equation: 5(h+3) Your question says that write an equation of 5 times a number which is 3 more then h (h+3).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@RANE but y we are adding h here ?

OpenStudy (rane):

it says "3 more than h." 3 more then means 3 has to be greater. So 3 more then h means 3 has to be greater then h. Since h is unknown we just say h+3. Its same as , "3 more then 5". then we would've done the same thing. 3 more then 5 means 5+3 = 8 but in our case 3 more then h --> is unknown so we just write as h+3.

thanks @RANE
