The Gettysburg Address "Fourscore and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. The cheek of every American must tingle with shame as he reads the silly, flat, and dish-watery utterances of the man who has to be pointed out to intelligent foreigners as the President of the United States."

This is wat I got so far... I disagree with what the Chicago Times said about The Gettysburg Address. The Gettysburg Address was a motivational speech that created part of the world that we have today. "...and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal." These words for the Gettysburg Address helped us see each other as equal human beings. Back then we used to not like or mistreated a person because of the color of one's skin.

Okke yes that is good! However, I dont think that starting it with saying a disagree is the best way of starting it. Maybe just take away that entire first sentence. Second I think the phrasing of the quote and the sentence after it is a little weird.

And instead of saying 'back the' say maybe 'in the time of the Gettysburg Address we used to...." cause it just sounds better :E

Next, perhaps include a quote from the news paper article. I would go with 'The cheek of every American must tingle with shame' and explain why the actual speech is actually an inspiration to Americans

I believe that The Gettysburg Address was a very motivational speech that made people see things in different ways.
