Which unit would be most appropriate for measuring the width of a house? A. m B. km C. cm D. mm

OpenStudy (danjs):

i wish km, that would be a huge house

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A.

OpenStudy (danjs):

why A, please help me understand here @madichapman7621

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

can an average guys house be measured in km?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

only in their dreams

OpenStudy (danjs):

I think the point of the question is to understand the relative sizes of each unit of measure

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

mm is way too small 1000 mm makes 1 meter

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

so what do u think is the most reasonable answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u put lest to largest size please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because kilometers are huge almost as long as a mile and cm and mm are smaller than inches so meters the only thing reasonable.

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

10 mm makes 1 cm 100 cm makes 1 meter 1000 meters make 1 km

OpenStudy (danjs):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metric_prefix

OpenStudy (danjs):

1 meter [m] is about the length of a bit less than your arms stretched out

OpenStudy (danjs):

the rest follows from that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then it would be meters :D

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

1 meter = 3.28 feet (approximately)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

meaters

OpenStudy (anonymous):

XD fail

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@misty1212

OpenStudy (misty1212):

i would go with meters kilometre is how you measure distance like if you were in a car cm is smaller than and inch an mm even smaller
