whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

Could someone please explain to me how to figure out this type of problem? Any assistance is greatly appreciated! Thanks! (ノ^ヮ^)ノ*:・゚✧*:・゚✧ ❤

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

Is it possible for a triangle to have sides with the lengths indicated? 5, 9, 15 I said yes..

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

Your reasoning?

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

My reasoning is because the numbers seem evenly distributed. But I have no idea.

OpenStudy (jenniferkeryakous):

no because 5+9 is less than 15

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

I don't need the answer, I just need the explanation.. I have a final exam coming sometime this week and I'm trying to study so that I do not fail. If possible, could you please draw a diagram?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

yes, you would need for the 2 smaller sides to have a sum greater than the (value of) the largest side.

OpenStudy (jenniferkeryakous):

i have finals this week also and i just took this. if the two sides arent greater than the third side it cant work.
