OpenStudy (anonymous):

3^4 × 3^2

OpenStudy (bibby):

a^b*a^c=a^b+c

Nnesha (nnesha):

same like last one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so would it be 9^8?

OpenStudy (bibby):

a is a follow your damn rules

Mehek (mehek14):

3^6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i just add the exponents ?

Mehek (mehek14):

yea

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Keep the base and add the exponents. \(a^m \times a^n = a ^{m + n} \)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then whats the point of the multiplication sign ?

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

a^n*a^m=a^(n+m) (a^n)^m=a^(mn)

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

remmember these rules

Nnesha (nnesha):

multiply sign to tell u that when you multiply two same variables or number you should add their exponent because in the future you have to deal with variables like this for example x times x = x^(1+1) x times x is not 2x

Nnesha (nnesha):

hmm i hope thats help :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yess i did thank you
