The graph shows an elevator’s height, in feet, as it moves between floors, over time, in seconds. How long was the elevator actually moving up or down? I think 7 secs http://static.k12.com/calms_media/media/1522000_1522500/1522042/1/f7bfbe4598442fbbc7e62bf572fdd5e8685997db/MS_IMC-140831-106124.jpg
I think it went up and down for a total of 7 secs
there are twice of 3 units when it wasn't moving, and the rest of the time it was in motion (either up or down). but it is asking for motion up and down, and it was not going up or down, between 2 and 5, and between 8 and 11.you are asked to find the entire time when the elevator is moving up or down. you know that. I told you that I found 2 time-frames of times , 3 units/seconds each, when the elevator is not moving
Well i know this I'm just wondering if at unit 1 it went up for 2 seconds then at unit 3 it went down for a second then at unit 5 it went back down for 3 seconds is that tight @im.celibate
I am not 100% sure if it's 7 seconds, but, I think it is.. :P
@k_lynn @Nnesha
:O okay thanks
hmm, I'm confused, if I do it 1 way, I get one number and if I do it another, I get a different number. Maybe @bohotness , @camerondoherty or @chosenmatt can help you.
HEY :D
Hi!
one sec
14 Time(s)
Jesus I'm confused
How?
Its really simple Look at it. Where it has a slanted line means that it is increasing or decreasing in height. All you have to do is could the little lines where the line is rising or decreasing. Look at my example: http://prntscr.com/5uyur7 Wherever there is an arc, it is either decreasing or increasing. So count them. The quantity is your answer C:
..
So it's 9 i looked back thank you all so much :D
:D yw
Its actually 8 cx
Ohhhh lol the mistakes
