REWARDING MEDALS! What is the equation in point-slope form of the line passing through (0, 6) and (1, 3)? Can some correct me if I am wrong? Or if I am right? Thanks! Options: a) (y-3) = -3(x-1) b) (y+3) = 3(x+1) c) (y+3) = -3(x+1) d) (y-3) = 3(x+6) I chose option B.
what is the equation for the slope?
ok. why did you choose B?
Hi, this is one of the two questions I have left. This is a pre-test which is optional, before the actual quiz. Can you tell me the correct answer for this? It's been long, and I would like to finish this off.
With an explanation?
and I prefer to walk you through so you can ace this and all future test
you have 2 points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) the slope is change in y / change in x y2 - y1/(x2 - x1) plug the points you have here and you will find the slope for that line the slope is the same for any 2 points on that line the general equation use one of the given points and (x, y) this will give option A
you didn't respond with what you did so I couldn't tell where you made a mistake
Oops sorry, I disconnected.
review the steps and try the other question. post and I will check it.
Thank you @triciaal. I am a bit tired and need some sleep. I'll be studying for the test. It's on Friday.
Let me know if you have any questions about this. nonetheless whether you are ready or not please be rested for Friday. It is important to get enough rest on Thursday night.
