In the late 1700's in Latin America the social structure strictly divided most countries. Natives were tired of being enslaved or hobbled by the Mestizos and Spanish. The Mestizos wanted a chance to participate fully and revolution was brewing. When the space between poor and rich is too wide it always brews discontent.
