Which pronoun best completes the sentence? How is the pronoun used? The lead actors in the play were Riley, Terrence, and __________. A. I; predicate nominative B. me; subject C. me; predicate nominative D. I; subject

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, so whenever it's an 'I' or 'me' question, it's actually really easy to figure out which to use. The trick is to take out all the other listed things (in this case, Riley and Terrence), and so evaluate the sentence like 'The lead actor in the play was me / I' (this is taking it out of possessive form, I believe)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So in this case, 'The lead actor in the play was me', sounds more accurate than 'The lead actor in the play was I' makes a lot more sense, which eliminates 2 of our possible answers. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so will it be c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, I think so!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You're welcome!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmm, I'm really not sure with this one, sorry. Go with your gut :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well thats it and thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):
