OpenStudy (znappydooz):

Which postulate can be used to prove the two triangles below are similar? Explain your answer using complete sentences, and provide evidence to support your claims.

OpenStudy (znappydooz):

OpenStudy (znappydooz):

Can anyone help?

OpenStudy (superflytyguy):

AAS I believe

OpenStudy (igreen):

Add them up.. If the two triangles are similar they should have the same angle measurements..add up all the angle measurements. 49 + 99 + 32 What do you get?

OpenStudy (igreen):

@SuperflyTyGuy Please no answers.

OpenStudy (znappydooz):

Thats 180...

OpenStudy (znappydooz):

Alright... so, is it AAS?

OpenStudy (znappydooz):

AAS Stands for Angle-Angle-Side, am I correct?

OpenStudy (superflytyguy):

yes

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yes, so it proves that it's congruent..

OpenStudy (igreen):

But I don't think it's AAS, since we are not given ANY sides at all..we are ONLY given angles..so what postulate do you think it is?

OpenStudy (znappydooz):

AA?

OpenStudy (igreen):

There isn't an AA postulate..lol, I think you meant AAA?

OpenStudy (znappydooz):

Haha, yes thats what I meant XD

OpenStudy (igreen):

Lol, I believe that's correct, Angle-Angle-Angle

OpenStudy (znappydooz):

"The best postulate that can be used to prove the triangles are similar is the AAA."

OpenStudy (znappydooz):

"The best postulate that can be used to prove the triangles are similar is the AAA because the AAA adds all the sides, which gives us 180." Is that correct?

OpenStudy (znappydooz):

@iGreen

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yes..you might also want to put that we are ONLY given angle measurements, and no side lengths.

OpenStudy (znappydooz):

How's this..?

OpenStudy (znappydooz):

The best postulate that can be used to prove the triangles are similar is the AAA because there are only angle measurements given, and AAA adds all the sides and gives us 180. @iGreen

OpenStudy (igreen):

AAA adds all the ANGLES and gives us 180.

OpenStudy (igreen):

Other than that it's good.

OpenStudy (znappydooz):

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I have a couple more... can you try and give me a hand if possible?
