hi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i closed it, opps

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im stuck, is it C.?

mathslover (mathslover):

Hello Deadpool117 , no, it is not C.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, im confused because when i looked it up it said Oxygen 8

mathslover (mathslover):

When we write oxygen - X then by "X" we mean, the atomic mass of the element. We know very well that Atomic Mass = No. of Proton + No. of Neutrons Here, we have No. of protons = 8 and No. of neutrons = 10 , so, Atomic Mass becomes 18.

mathslover (mathslover):

Therefore, the isotope is Oxygen - 18

oh thanks you so much

mathslover (mathslover):

You're welcome Deadpool! :-)
