How do you find the answer the easy way?? XD (1.4 x 10^3)(2.5 x 10^-6) I think you go (1.4 x 2.5)+(10^3 x 10^-6) and then go 3.5 + 10^-3 and then... i dont know XD help??

OpenStudy (swissgirl):

No No NO

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im obviously not very good at math XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

everything is still multiplied

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhhhh

OpenStudy (swissgirl):

here is how we would so it we would do it \[(1.4*2.5)(10^{3+(-6)})\] Ok so we would multiply the 2 values but if you notice there are exponents with the same base. When multiplying exponents with the same base you keep the base and just add the exponents So our base in this case is 10 and if you look above you can see that I just added the 2 exponents

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah it wouldn't be your answer of 3.5+10^-3 but 3.5*10^-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it would be 3.5 x 10^-3 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhhh thats the full answer

OpenStudy (swissgirl):

Yes

Ok cool thankyou so much!!
