So here;s a wordish problem... I understand what its trying to get me to do, but i just need help solving it XD Taryn conducted a science experiment on saturation. She added sugar to a sugar-water solution at different intervals. The graph shows how much sugar was in the solution at different times. Complete the equation that represents Taryn’s situation. y =mx + b

Im getting the graph right now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=slope +y-intercept do you have a graph?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um... I dont know how to get the graph here XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there we go! Thats the graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So is it y = 1x +1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y intercept is 1 and the slope is 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right, so y = 1x + 1 is correct? @katti

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right except it is just x (not 1x) because it is x*1 which would just be x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have another quick question, if a line is going horizontally on a graph, would the equation be x=(number)y ? @katti

OpenStudy (anonymous):

horizontal=no slope but a y intercept it would be y=(number)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

isnt horizontal the y-intercept? vertical is the x-intercept right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ooooh! ok thankyou XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problemo XDD
