How to explain the ambiguous case?

OpenStudy (misty1212):

lol can't really explain what is ambiguous hence the name

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

a math or logic question?

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

math

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

where is the entire problem?

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

I just have to explain the ambiguous case

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is this about triangles? :)

Directrix (directrix):

It begins with trying to build a triangle with two sides and the non-included angle. A unique triangle is not formed. That is why there is no SSA Triangle Congruence Postulate. With 2 sides and the non-included angle, you can sometimes form 2 different triangles, sometimes just 1, and sometimes no triangle can be formed. Well, that's the anbiguity of it. For the nitty -gritty on how to figure out how many triangles (if any) are formed and the measurements, google up a lesson on that. @sleepyjess

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Wow, thank you @Directrix ! :)
