@Angel_Bear19 @One098

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First, 3 medals, then 5 medals, now 8? LOL

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope 10!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o.o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol i just want some help and to pay my "respects/Thanks yous" I give medals haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So what would you think the answer is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm looking

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A

OpenStudy (igreen):

No, I don't think that's right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why do you and @iGreen usually have similar pictures?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay

OpenStudy (igreen):

I don't think it's 2 shirts..otherwise the 2nd shirt wouldn't be discounted at 5%..it would be like 95%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohh ok

OpenStudy (igreen):

Let's say the shirt is $20, that would give us 20(5%), which simplifies to 1. 1 is NOT a 5% discount of 20. A 5% discount would be subtracting 1 from 20 giving us 19.

mathslover (mathslover):

Oops sorry. Go on, I must not have interfered in between. :-)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay so B?

OpenStudy (igreen):

I don't think so.. It says A + A(5%)..but it only seems to mention 5% of A..and not 'A'.

mathslover (mathslover):

Follow iGreen! :-)

OpenStudy (igreen):

If it were to be A - A(5%) that would be a DISCOUNT..because you are subtracting 5% of the original amount..let's go back to the $20 shirt example.. 20 - 20(5%) 20 - 1 19 Therefore a 5% discount will result in a $19 shirt instead of a $20 shirt.. But here it is ADDITION and NOT subtraction..therefore there is an amount being added on..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So wich one would it be now im heading towards D maybe

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yes! That's correct..5% interest would ADD 5% onto our original amount.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

YAY! :D I need help on 2 more should i put them in a new post

OpenStudy (igreen):

So Jess owed Julie $5, we can plug it in: 5 + 5(5%) 5 + 0.25 5.25 So the interest would be 25 cents, making the total $5.25.

OpenStudy (igreen):

So let's say *

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yes, that would be best.
