OpenStudy (r_josh10):

Despite the efforts of British abolitionists, Britain remained the nation most in favor of slavery. A. True B. False

OpenStudy (perii224):

I think this will be True :]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its false, if you recall the british had a certain unfortunate event that hapened when slaves were counted as property and therefore could be 'ensured' if they died. because of this an innicednt occured where slaves were thrown overbored to ssecure finacial aid. However, th upon as an imhuman jesture (which lets face it it was) and went to parliment who quickly enacted slavery as a testimony of satan and described it as inhumane, brutal, unneccesary, and it was later banned.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The British recognized that slavery was no longer tolerable long before the Americans did. They certainly were not the country most in favor of it. It's false.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For instance, in 1833 Parliament passed the Slavery Abolition Act: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slavery_Abolition_Act_1833 Long before the Civil War brought slavery in America to an end.
