CAN SOMEONE HELP ME SOLVE THIS?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solve, using the substitution method. y – 3x = 7 21 + 9x = 3y (Points : 1)

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

ok first find what y or what x equals in one of them

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

ditto

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

thank you :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It doesnt @Daniellelovee

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

yes it does Im going to give you an example y+4x=16 to find y you would 16-4x so now y=16-4x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got y=7+3x 21=3y-9x @Daniellelovee

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

ok now that you know y=7+3x then substitute that over the y value for 21 + 9x = 3y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

28=6x+3y?

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

no you do 21 + 9x = 3(7+3x) and now solve :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay I got a decimal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But im not sure if I did it correctly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I finished with 6x=19

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

I got 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

These are the choices There is no solution. There are an infinite number of solutions. The solution is (1, 10) The solution is (28, 0)

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

I think B because they are both the same equation :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you so much!

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

np :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you help me with another problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Daniellelovee

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

sure just make a new question and close this one
