Hallo, The answer should be "melde mich freiwillig." Here's why: I'm sure you're fairly familiar with verb conjugations, right? We have them in English, though they don't differ as much as they do in languages like Spanish or French or German. You can't say "I eats" but you can say "HE eats" -- instead, for "I," you use "eat." That's all verb conjugation does. Now, in the question given, the speaker says "Was machst du ....?" The "-st" ending is the conjugation for "du." So, the speaker is asking you. That means that you would answer for yourself. And that brings us to the "-e" ending for "ich." All regular verbs --some irregular verbs are exceptions -- end with "-e" when in "ich" form. So, you'll see that of the choices given to you, "melde mich freiwillig" makes the most sense.
