Nope, almost though, the unit vector is the vector over the magnitude. The magnitude is a scalar. Think of it like the vector has a direction and length, so if you divide the length all you're left with is the direction which is a unit vector since multiplying anything by 1 (a unit) is the number. That way you have essentially separated the length from the direction and can multiply them back together again.
lol that's right, I meant vector... I am actually doing several multidimensional problems, @Kainui thanks for correcting that :)
