it the number you multiply by one side of a figure to get another measurement for another side of a figure, and multiply this number by all the sides of a figure, you will get a similar figure Take a look here http://www.watertown.k12.ma.us/wms/math/math_help/gradeseven/stretching/scale%20factor.htm See, you have 6, right? You multiplied 6 by a number to get 15, so what's that number? All you really need to do is divide 15/6
