Directions: Select all the correct answers. Jolie used the coordinate grid below to locate places at the local mall. She determined that the food court is at point (1, 1), the restrooms are at point (4, 3), the candy shop is at point (-6, 1), the gift shop is at point (-3, -3), the toy store is at point (-2, -2), the boutique is at point (7, 1), the hair salon is at point (-3, 3), and the electronics store is at point (4, -2). Which of these pairs of places are 6 units from one another? the toy store and the electronics store the candy shop and the food court the electronics store and the restrooms the hair salon and the gift shop the food court and the boutique

OpenStudy (hysusonic):

find the ones on the same y-axis

OpenStudy (ilovewolf):

I would go with C bc since -3 and 3 are opposite you are suppose to add so 3+3 = 6 :) I hope that was right!

OpenStudy (hysusonic):

@ilovewolf but if you followed what i said, and you look at the ones on the same y-axis, you'll see that the electronics store and the toy store are 6 units apart

OpenStudy (ilovewolf):

Wait lemme see something brb

OpenStudy (jordanloveangel):

k

OpenStudy (hysusonic):

what's the difference between -2 and 4 @jordanloveangel

OpenStudy (jordanloveangel):

the 2 is - and the 4 is +

OpenStudy (ilovewolf):

so you are suppose to add them right?

OpenStudy (hysusonic):

on a graph i mean.... what's the difference between them

OpenStudy (jordanloveangel):

2 on the x axis and 4 is on the y axis

OpenStudy (hysusonic):

no -2 on the y-axis and positive 4 on the y-axis

OpenStudy (jordanloveangel):

x axis is all - and they is all + right or the other way around

OpenStudy (hysusonic):

OpenStudy (jordanloveangel):

mhmm okay

OpenStudy (hysusonic):

and the other one is the Y-axis

OpenStudy (jordanloveangel):

oh k

OpenStudy (hysusonic):

now what's the difference between -2 on the y-axis with a positive 4 on the same axis

OpenStudy (jordanloveangel):

nvm i got it
