(Will Medal and Fan) What is the approximate volume of a cylinder with a height of 3 ft and a radius of 0.56 ft? Use 3.14 to approximate pi. Round your answer to two decimal places. ____ft3

OpenStudy (danjs):

area of a circle, times the height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The volume of a cylinder is calculated using\[V=\pi r^2 h\] You are given h and r,

OpenStudy (danjs):

Volume is pi times radius squared times height

Ohh ok thankyou @DanJS and @ospreytriple I wasnt really looking for answers and u explained ty :)

OpenStudy (danjs):

Just think of it as a 2-D area problem for the circle, then you extrude it into a 3rd dimension by multiplying that by the height of the cylinder.

Ok thanks :)
