Which pair is a base and corresponding height for the triangle? A. b = 16 units and h = 9.6 units B. b = 20 units and h = 16 units C. b = 20 units and h = 9.6 units D. b = 20 units and h = 12 units

please I need help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and can someone tell me how to post a picture?

OpenStudy (love_ranaa):

If you have the picture saved to your computer, click attach file at the bottom

it's not saved to my computer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it would be difficult to answer this without a picture of some sort - can you attempt to draw it and post it as closely as you can to the image provided?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh wait, i started to answer a totally different and much harder question. So that drawing has all of those numbers on it.. is the 9.6 along the dashed line that connects the angle to the hypotenuse (longest side)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it is c

OpenStudy (love_ranaa):

D. b = 20 units and h = 12 units Tell me if I'm wrong :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but the height is the one in the middle and that is 9.6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you think @theschroedingercat

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would say it is none of those and it is 12, 16 since 9.6 is an altitude on a right triangle (which is totally not necessary and can't ever be the height). So apparently I don't understand the question and can't help! lol. One of those lines must be the actual altitude and the drawing is confusing me. Or I need more coffee. sorry mate!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is possible it is 20, 9.6 if we consider the 20 to be the base and it is sitting on 20, then the altitude of 9.6 is the height. but that's really silly.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is c I just finished the assessment and got 100%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whoot nice work! :D
