Please HELP!!!! (x^-3)^-5x^6

OpenStudy (jchick):

i think that it is x^21 that is just a guess though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\huge \color{blue}{(x^{-3})^{-5} \cdot x^6}\] Is this right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes @waterineyes

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

First raise the power to the power. You need to multiply powers.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

All three of them?

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

x is raised to the -3 power. Then it is raised to the -5 power. Since you have x raised to a power and again raised to a power, multiply those powers together. (Look at the rules I wrote in your earlier problem.)

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

So far we are only dealing with \((x^{-3})^{-5} \). Multiply the exponents. What do you get?
