Someone please help me! I REALLLYYYY need help! ********I FAN AND GIVE MEDALS TOO!!!! :D********* --------------------------------------------Write the equation of the line that is parallel to the line 3x - y = -3 and passes through the point (4, -2). y = -1/3x - 6 y = -1/3x - 14 y = 3x - 6 y = 3x - 14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

try using geogebra.com and put in each line. if one of them is parallel to the first, and goes through the point, then that is the correct answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem ! if you have any trouble, ask :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay thanks!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@silverr All I could find was worksheets?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

click http://web.geogebra.org/app/# then click algebra, it should go right to a graph.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay I did, what next?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where it says "input", put in your first graph, 3x - y = -3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

after that, put in the other ones and see which is the same as the first, but in a different place ( parallel )

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay I just did

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can also put in the point and see which one crosses what.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you this really helped!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem!! so,, the correct answer is y = 3x - 14 if you did it correctly :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah thanks so muchh!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem :)
