Which statement best explains if the graph correctly represents the proportional relationship y = 3.5x? (4 points) No, the points shown on the line would not be part of y = 3.5x No, proportions cannot be represented on a graph Yes, the points shown on the line would be part of y = 3.5x Yes, all proportions can be shown on the graph of this line

do you know how to find the slope?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a lil

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what is the slope?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2/3.5 ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve the top then the bottom so 7-3.5=3.5 and 2-1=1 so the slope is 3.5/1 (which could also be written as just 3.5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh i get it so its just basic math written differently

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes. so when the slope is 3.5 that means that for every x unit you go up 3.5 (look at the graph and you can see what I mean) but back to the problem... 3.5x represents a slope and the line in the graph has that slope so the points shown on the line would be part of y=3.5x. Does that make sense??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes so my answer is c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank u so much
