why is "value at which f has a local minimum" asking for an X coordinate and "local minimum value of f" asking for the Y coordinate? Phrasing seems identical, just rearranged orders. Problem set from Aleks Algebra 1A with no explanation provided as to why one phrase means something different from the other.

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

the local minimum will have an x and y coordinate The y coordinate is also the value of f

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

f meaning function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the local extrema is an x, y coordinate (or multiple), and ONLY the y coordinate (or coordinates) are the local extrema value of the function?

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

yes
