First things first how much does he make in one week?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the formula would look like this \[(8.25*25)*7\] to find your answer :) remember parentheses first then you multiply. :) hope the helps

OpenStudy (bohotness):

so its 1443.75

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup :)

OpenStudy (bohotness):

what about this http://prntscr.com/615xy0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well first you want to round both 8.89 and 12.15 to the nearest whole number

OpenStudy (bohotness):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then since the perimeter of a shape is the sum of all of its sides you would multiply both of them by two and then add those together :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if that makes sense

OpenStudy (bohotness):

err i times then add what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh sorry I should have been more specific so you round, then you times both of the numbers you rounded by two and then add them together. make sense now?

OpenStudy (bohotness):

10.10 and 10.00

OpenStudy (bohotness):

@SolomonZelman

OpenStudy (bohotness):

@Luigi0210

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh well what you round is the 8.89 and the 12.15 to the nearest whole number so how that works is you look at the first decimal place and if it is 5 or over then you round up and if it is 4 or below you round down so 12.15 would be rounded to 12 and 8.89 would be rounded to 9

OpenStudy (bohotness):

108

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well you have to choose the formula that you used to get that answer as your actual answer :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and no 108 is not the solution to that equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would be 12 x 2 plus 9 x 2 and that would be your formula

OpenStudy (bohotness):

cc

OpenStudy (bohotness):

c

OpenStudy (bohotness):

can you help me with 2 more ?

OpenStudy (bohotness):

@chosenmatt @cormicanc

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure

OpenStudy (bohotness):

http://prntscr.com/6165ew

OpenStudy (bohotness):

@cormicanc

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For the first one you just choose the bigger number obviously but when the numbers are negative that means that the lower negative number is bigger :)

OpenStudy (bohotness):

a?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup :)

OpenStudy (bohotness):

thank you .
