How does this line suggest a key idea developed in the poem? (4 points) It compares real qualities with superficial ones. It confirms that Helen is attractive. It implies beauty is nothing to celebrate. It suggests pride should be based on other things.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Read these lines from "Helen Grey": Because you're handsome, Helen Grey, Is that a reason to be proud

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would probably cross out the 3rd one and the 2nd one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I agree, I would go for the fourth one honestly.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the 2nd one and 3rd arent really answering the question but im not sure about the 1st one and the last ones so it between those two

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The text doesn't exactly 'compare' real qualities from fake ones, so that leaves the fourth one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea it doesnt say anything about real qualtities i would also suggest the fourth one i was stumped for a little but then i read the 1st 5 words form your repl and i was like yep its the fourth one.. lol @No_One

OpenStudy (littlebird):

Because you're handsome, Helen Grey, Is that a reason to be proud I don't know the rest of the poem, but depending on the way you read the second line, the third answer could be an option. Asking if being handsome is something to be proud of implies that it's supposed worth is doubtful.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:D

OpenStudy (littlebird):

I just came back to say, that after reading the whole poem, I think it's D. But I think I'm too late.

OpenStudy (littlebird):

It's because the poet explained that Helen should find value in "lowlier" things
