OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

When multiplying fractions, it helps to not have them be mixed fractions. You can turn them into improper fractions and then multiply straight across.

OpenStudy (trojanpoem):

Make them fractions : 4*7 + 3 / 7

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

So its 30/7 times 11/5

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

330/28 then you simplify.

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

330 / 2 = 165 28 / 2 = 14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay..?

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

Now turn it back into a mixed fraction and thats your answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont see how i would do that..?? @Secret-Ninja

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

You would get \[11 \frac{ 11 }{ 14 }\] If you don't know how, this site may come in handy. http://fractionsimplifier.com/mixed-number-simplifier/

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):
